Insert Headers

Insert Headers

This feature allows you to insert three types of headers in your PowerPoint slides, giving you flexibility in how you organize and emphasize your content:

  1. Filled Header Bar: A solid colored bar that appears above your content
    • Features your presentation's Accent3 theme color with white text
    • Creates bold visual emphasis
    • Spans the width of your selected content
  2. Line Header: A thin blue line with centered text
    • Places a navy blue line with centered black text above your content
    • Provides subtle visual separation
    • Offers a clean, minimalist appearance
  3. Header Box: A rectangular outline with header text
    • Draws a navy blue border around your selected content
    • Places centered text above the box
    • Perfect for grouping and organizing related items

Each header type maintains consistent formatting with:

  • 12-point "+mn-lt" font
  • Automatic sizing based on your selection
  • Grouped elements for easy management
  • Editable text

Choose the header type that best matches:

  • Your desired level of visual emphasis
  • Your presentation's design style
  • The content you're labeling
  • Your slide's layout

Filled Header Bar

A colored bar with white text that appears above your selected shapes.

What It Does

Creates a filled rectangular header bar using your presentation's Accent3 color with white text. The bar automatically sizes to match the width of your selected content.

  • To label groups of related content
  • To highlight important information above diagrams or charts

  2. Click the "Header Bar" button in the ribbon
  3. A filled bar appears above your selection with the default text "Header"
  4. Edit the text as needed by clicking on it

Tips

  • Select multiple shapes to create individual headers above each one

  • If nothing is selected, a default-sized header will be created
  • The bar's color automatically updates if you change your presentation's theme

Line Header

A thin blue line with centered black text that appears above your selected shapes.
