Bulk Format

The Bulk Format tool lets you apply formatting changes to multiple objects across your presentation by matching and updating specific properties.

What It Does

  • Searches for objects that match specific properties of your reference object
  • Applies formatting changes to all matching objects simultaneously
  • Works across single slides, selected slides, or entire presentations
  • Updates properties like colors, sizes, fonts, and animations

When to Use It

  • Standardize branding elements across your presentation
  • Update formatting for objects sharing specific properties
  • Fix inconsistencies in:
    • Shape colors and styles
    • Text formatting
    • Bullet point styles
    • Animation effects
    • Line styles
    • Object sizes

How to Use It

  1. Select a reference object on your slide
  2. Open the Bulk Format tool
  3. Set your search criteria:
    • Choose which properties must match your reference object
    • Hold Shift to select multiple criteria
    • Click the three dots to see all options
  4. Select your search scope:
    • All slides
    • Selected slides
    • Current slide only
  5. Choose the properties you want to update:
    • Select properties in the CHANGE OPTIONS section
    • Hold Shift to select multiple properties
    • Click the three dots for more options
  6. Click OK to apply your changes

Tips

  • Test your changes on a single slide before applying them presentation-wide
  • Save your presentation before making bulk changes
  • Monitor the RESULT counter to see how many objects will be affected
  • Start with broader search criteria and narrow down if needed
  • Add frequently used search criteria to "favorite criteria" for quick access
  • When selecting a grouped object, choose whether to use the highlighted shape or select a different element
  • Your change properties can be different from your search properties
